Bust Friendly Bolero Adjustable Neckline Dress with Sleeves by Hourglassy

I’m going to interrupt all the fun in the sun we’ve been having with our swimsuit series to bring you back to the world of work from home. My obsession with Zoom call looks continues–it’s hard to get away from something that’s the equivalent of staring at my reflection in a mirror all day.

On one of those days, I realized how much I love the color pop and neckline of my Princess Ella dress from Bolero. There’s one more detail that makes this dress ideal: it has sleeves. I wear my sleeveless adjustable neckline dress all summer long, but for certain work calls, I want my shoulders covered. When I shared this discovery with Patricia McCaw (Bolero’s founder), she pointed out that I’d been wearing the same two dresses for a while now, and it was time to try something new. Happily, she offered to gift me and Leah with some pieces.

Of course I went for the adjustable neckline dress with sleeves. It arrived just in time for a socially distanced outdoor document signing.

The next day, I wore it inside . . . on Zoom calls.

Here’s where I realized that CAMERA ANGLE MATTERS when you’re wearing a deep neckline.
Instead of changing the camera angle here, I simply adjusted the neckline. By the way, Patricia was kind enough to use the same fabric as the rest of the dress for the tie. While I like the design detail of a contrasting tie, I wanted to keep things simple for the camera.
I really like the elbow-length sleeves. (I forgot to lower the neckline again when I took these pics.)
